USING THE TRAIN
If traveling by train, we recommend using the Cambridge North Station and following the Chisholm trail. It is a 25-minute walk to the station.

It is a pleasant walk or cycle ride through fields. There are cycle racks at the front of the ground and behind the Habbin North Stand.

PARK & RIDE
Street parking around the Stadium is restricted. An alternative is to use the Park & Ride service. It is situated near the airport to the east of the city and is about a 20-minute walk to the ground along Newmarket Road.

There is a new family stand this season and within the area is a additional family area with new activities

Travel News Are there any known traffic issues en route to the Stadium?

I am not aware of any road works planned on the A14 over weekend.

We advise anyone coming to the match to use the Park and Ride bus or walk from the site coming off at the Stow-Cum-Quy junction

There is a drive through McDonalds near to the club on Newmarket Road. This can become extremely busy and cause congestion if there are a lot customers queuing to be served

Millwall were formed in 1885 as Millwall Rovers by employees of Morton & Co. a jam and marmalade factory.
The founders were mainly Scotsmen, the headquarters at the Islanders pub in Tooke street Millwall.

From the M25 Motorway – Leaving M25 at Junction 4, follow A21 to Bromley and London, for approximately 4 miles and then fork left onto A232 s/p Croydon/ Sutton.
At the second set of traffic lights turn right into Baston Road (B265), following it for about 2 miles as it becomes Hayes Street and then Hayes Lane. Bromley FC is on the right-hand side of the road just after a mini roundabout.

OTHER ROUTES

• Arriving from the Croydon/Surrey areas should use the A232 and turn left into Baston Road (B265). Follow the road for approximately 2 miles where it becomes Hayes Street and then Hayes Lane. Bromley FC is on the right hand side of the road just after a mini roundabout

Wigan Athletic

Wigan Athletic were formed in 1931 after Wigan Borough folded. It took 46 years for Athletic to become a football league club after spending most of that time in the higher reaches of non-league football. They were elected into the league in 1978 at the expense of Southport.

Honours- FA Cup winners 2013. League Trophy winners 1985 & 1999. League 1 winners 2015/16, 2017/18 & 2021/22. Second Div. winners 2022/03. Third Div winners 1996/97. EFL Championship runners-up 2004/05.

Last Match- 08//08/2026 EFL Cup away at Barnsley 1-1 lost 6-5 on pens. Scorer Costello (40mins). Line up- Walsh, Carragher, Fox, Mellish, Barrett (Higgins 74), Power, Weir, Murray, Sze (Brennan 64), Costelloe (Miller 74), Perkins (Harris 83).

Head 2 Head- The first meetings between the clubs was at the start of the 1969/70 season as pre-season friendlies, but unofficially the media and fans were calling the home and away matches the Non-League Championship. Cambridge United were the Southern League Champions and Wigan the Northern Premier League runners-up. Macclesfield the champions declined to take part. Both matches finished 2-0 to the away teams. Terry Butcher and Mel Slack scoring for the U’s at Springfield Park, Carney and Ledgard for Wigan at the Abbey.

Including those matches there have been 23 matches between the clubs. Wigan have won 8, Cambridge United 5 and there have been 8 draws. The last meeting at the Abbey was 19th October 2024 which the U’s won 2-0 with goals from Kahchunga and an own goal by Smith.

BARNET FC

Histroy- Barnet FC were founded in 1888 as Chipping Barnet. Until 2013 they played their home matches at Underhill Stadium in Barnet. They then moved to the Hive Stadium in Edgeware. Barnet were founder members of the North London League in 1892. The club ceased to exist in 1902. By 1912 two other local clubs, Barnet Avenue and Alston Works merged to form Barnet FC. They spent the next 53 years in the Athenian League winning seven league titles and the FA Amateur Cup once. They turned professional in 1965 and joined the Southern League and won Southern League Cup in 1972 and the Division 1 South tittle in 1977. In 1979 Barnet joined the Alliance Premier League (Football Conference). In 1991 under Barry Fry they won the Conference Championship and were promoted to the Football League. By 2001 they were relegated back to the Conference but in 2005 they regained League status before being relegated again in 2013 only to return in 2015 and were relegated yet again in 2028. Seven years later in 2025 they were back in the EFL for the 4th time.
 
Head Coach- Dean Brennan, born 17/6/1980 Dublin. Dean started as a player with Sheffield Wednesday but didn’t make any first team appearances before moving to Luton Town where he played 9 first team games. He then had a long career in non-league football before becoming a manager at Hemel Hempstead and then Billericay, Kingstonian and Wealdstone. He joined Barnet in 2021 and led them to the National League tittle in 2025 with a club record points tally of 102.
 
Head 2 Head- Cambridge United’s first meeting in competitive matches with Barnet was in the FA Cup in 1964 at Underhill which resulted in a 2-1 win for Barnet. Peter Hobbs scoring for the U’s after Harding and a Finch og had given Barnet a two goal lead.

In all there have been 24 competitive matches between the two clubs with Barnet winning 10 the U’s winning 7 and 7 draws.

The last meeting was 28th March at The Hive which Barnet won 1-0 with a goal from Danny Collinge.

Joined Barnet in June 2026 from Darlington. 2026/27 will be his first season at EFL level after playing 5 seasons at non league level.

USING THE TRAIN
If traveling by train, we recommend using the Cambridge North Station and following the Chisholm trail. It is a 25-minute walk to the station.

It is a pleasant walk or cycle ride through fields. There are cycle racks at the front of the ground and behind the Habbin North Stand.

PARK & RIDE
Street parking around the Stadium is restricted. An alternative is to use the Park & Ride service. It is situated near the airport to the east of the city and is about a 20-minute walk to the ground along Newmarket Road.

There is a new family stand this season and within the area is a additional family area with new activities

Travel News Are there any known traffic issues en route to the Stadium?

I am not aware of any road works planned on the A14 over weekend.

We advise anyone coming to the match to use the Park and Ride bus or walk from the site coming off at the Stow-Cum-Quy junction

There is a drive through McDonalds near to the club on Newmarket Road. This can become extremely busy and cause congestion if there are a lot customers queuing to be served
