Please see some feedback that I have received following the AFC Wimbledon match.
They mostly concern the Fans Zones I have received them since the match.
Most are concerning the Main Stand. Not all are negative, some refer to the difficulty of purchasing items in the Main Stand.
  • From a North habbin point of view, the match day experience has improved so much over the years, drink and food has improved plus happy hr aswell. Instead of drinking in town then going into ground at 2.55pm you can drink and chat with random people in the habbin for few hrs so socially it's great
  • Maybe make happy hour bit longer 1 to 2 30 understand it becomes 90 mins not hour but maybe market as happy 90 mins as in same as game needs marketing people to come up with sloagan
  • There are only about 5-10 grounds left in the EFL that offer a similar, traditional match day experience as the Abbey. It’s a wonderful place to watch football and my family and I love it.
As the club thinks closely about its options to either redevelop the Abbey or move, in my opinion the club should preserve as much as possible of the current match day experience; standing areas for those who wish to stand, good facilities and activities for families with young children, and ample concourse space for fans to socialise before the game 'm proud to be a supporter of such a well-run abc governed club, and hope this continues for many years
  • The Happy Hour makes the Cambridge united football experience even better.
You don't have to rush, you can meet up with supporters and friends also sometimes you get to meet players and staff.
    It's a great idea.
    Thank you
  • Hi - the South Stand would really benefit from having some seating behind the stand, perhaps a bench that ran the whole way along the back wall. There is nowhere for people to sit and this would make a big difference as people sit on the floor or have to stand. It could even be covered if there was the funds for that. Just an idea!
  • Season ticket holder in the main stand, need to sort of the bar. Queues since the start of the season before the match is terrible. Yesterday's excuse was coolers not working, but it is every weekend. Why aren't the mini bars in place any more to reduce the queues in the main bar?
  • Hi, just want to say that the dispensary seriously needs sorting out.  Not everyone arrives early  but i would expect to be able to grab a beer and a bottle of coke prematch at 14:30. The queue was ridiculously long, 20 minute wait for us and people complaining, people leaving the queue. All lost revenue. Why is the bar tucked away in the corner and akward to get too, turn the chicken place into another a bar and move the chicken. Everyone wants a pre match drink and social, food can be grabbed anytime during the game.  Add an extra bar or have some more outlets to alleviate the wait. Allow main stand to use nre bar or South stand area. The club really are missing out on 1000s pre game at the prices that are charged.
  • More t bars are needed in the mainstand, Saturdays queues for drink mainly had one queue going to hospitality. without anybody being advised the queue for food was empty. The new t bar when you go in now has one long queue as well before it had two hatches and it moved quicker. A portable t bar or, someone who could have taken drinks or food out to the queues and selling plastic cold beer bottles or hot dogs or burgers.
There were three stewards just watching, any reason they couldn't t do crowd control rather than just standing there?
The clubs would have lost money yesterday as people just gave up, there isn't really enough space to have two queues and have people standing near the band. could you move the t bars to the mainly empty tents! People congregate in the sun rather than under the marquees. We have season tickets in the main stand so use the fan zone at the back.
  • We often have to queue for the bar but the queue gets confused with the queue for the chicken grill, so the queue ends up larger than needs be. Can these be separated in some form? If the start of the chicken grill (till end) was to the right of the kiosk (it’s currently to the left) that may help? It would be the same layout as the burger kiosk.
    Appreciate your request for comments!!
    Thanks
  • Before the Wimbledon game (26/9), I arrived at the Fanzone behind the Main Stand at 2.20pm, greeted a mate and then was told by them "forget getting a beer" as they pointed to the queue.
They arrived early and still queued for 20 minutes. I would have waited 30 minutes plus.
Why is there only one bar and equal space given to a fried chicken stall that was serving hardly anyone?
Poor commercials as I am sure CEO Alex would agree. Ask him.
  • Also after my initial complaint about the service  at the North end of the manin stand catering the service has been so poor that we gave up trying to buy refreshments at half time especially when there is  one chef  on duty who only focuses  on the food and never lends a hand in serving. I thought  you should be made aware.
  • Hi, I hope you enjoyed the game Saturday as much as we did!
As you may have seen my two girls have had their custom made flags with them the last two home games. (Fire regulated)
The first game they were hanging them over the boards while the players warmed up, which caused no problems and nobody said anything.
But yesterday the girls hung them over and was asked to remove them from Ian speaking with the stewards because of covering the sponsors boards (fair enough). One of the stewards helped the girls hang them which they were very grateful for the help.

But my questions are:
1) Are they not able to hold them over while the players are warming up? As I don't believe many are looking at the fixed boards then anyway?
TV coverage doesn't start until about ten minutes before a game either.
2) Does this only effect the Habbin not having flags over the sides? As the family stand and NRE often have flags hanging?
3) As you know there are lots of children in the North Habbin stand now, would it be possible for the club to provide flags for the games like the Family stand have?
I question why there are so many stewards standing in front of the Habbin stand at the end of the game. These block the view of fans and there is no reason for there to be so many. Especially as the Newmarket Road end where there has been more trouble has less stewards standing in front of them. The main stand closest to the players has no stewards standing in front of them.
  • can the stadium announcer, wait until the crowd stop cheering before announcing the goal scorer as we cannot hear it in the main stand ? other than that everything is near on perfect
  • Second hand - The guy who sits in front of us said it was awful. Eventually got in about 1.15pm not 1.00pm, then no beer as barrel ran out and nobody knew what to do. Massive queues so you couldnt get a second drink. He said queues at half time were also the worst he'd ever seen
  • The bar behind Cledara Stand is a nightmare. I I understand that there were problems dispensing all of the beers other than the cider. There is no organisation as to how to queue, an absolute nightmare. Took me 10 minutes to get drink which I then had to consume in 2 mins!! What has happened to the mini bars. Not good enough when you are getting a full house. Must do better.
