Jack Nightingale meets his favourite United player

4/11/2025

Cambridge United fan and Abbey Helper, Jack Nightingale was six years old when Chester defender, Kevin Roberts played for Cambridge United.

He became Jack’s favourite player and Jack has closely followed Kevin’s footballing career at FC Halifax, Wrexham and currently back at his first club, National League North, Chester.

Kevin surprised Jack after Cambridge United’s win over Chester in the FA Cup Round One clash on Saturday when the defender presented Jack, now in his first year at York University, with a signed Chester shirt thanking him for all his support over the past twelve years!

Away fans can buy matchday tickets from Turnstile A on the day unless the game is confirmed as a pre ordered ticket only match.

How to get to the ground, parking and all matchday information see here
www.salfordcityfc.co.uk/supporters/supporter-guides/

Please note regarding car parking, the stadium is located in a major residential area which is subject to matchday parking restrictions, therefore, I would advise any fans driving to the game to pay attention to the map enclosed in the photo below.

If you are driving to the Peninsula Stadium, we have no on-site parking available for supporters and there are parking restrictions in place on the roads surrounding the ground. These are enforced by Salford City Council, and we cannot assist with any tickets issued.

There are streets with no restrictions outside of the restricted parking zone, but if leaving your vehicle anywhere we urge that you do so sensibly so that access is still available for emergency services, residents and local businesses. Salford City Football Club will not be held responsible for any damage caused to vehicles, and because we cannot accept liability for damage they are unable to recommend anywhere specifically to park.

Visiting supporters have a choice of two kiosks in the away fanzone.

The legendary Babs' Café offers a range of food and drink including burgers, hot dogs, chicken nuggets, pies, chips, soup, beer, hot drinks, soft drinks and confectionary.
