BARNET FC

Histroy- Barnet FC were founded in 1888 as Chipping Barnet. Until 2013 they played their home matches at Underhill Stadium in Barnet. They then moved to the Hive Stadium in Edgeware. Barnet were founder members of the North London League in 1892. The club ceased to exist in 1902. By 1912 two other local clubs, Barnet Avenue and Alston Works merged to form Barnet FC. They spent the next 53 years in the Athenian League winning seven league titles and the FA Amateur Cup once. They turned professional in 1965 and joined the Southern League and won Southern League Cup in 1972 and the Division 1 South tittle in 1977. In 1979 Barnet joined the Alliance Premier League (Football Conference). In 1991 under Barry Fry they won the Conference Championship and were promoted to the Football League. By 2001 they were relegated back to the Conference but in 2005 they regained League status before being relegated again in 2013 only to return in 2015 and were relegated yet again in 2028. Seven years later in 2025 they were back in the EFL for the 4th time.
 
Head Coach- Dean Brennan, born 17/6/1980 Dublin. Dean started as a player with Sheffield Wednesday but didn’t make any first team appearances before moving to Luton Town where he played 9 first team games. He then had a long career in non-league football before becoming a manager at Hemel Hempstead and then Billericay, Kingstonian and Wealdstone. He joined Barnet in 2021 and led them to the National League tittle in 2025 with a club record points tally of 102.
 
Head 2 Head- Cambridge United’s first meeting in competitive matches with Barnet was in the FA Cup in 1964 at Underhill which resulted in a 2-1 win for Barnet. Peter Hobbs scoring for the U’s after Harding and a Finch og had given Barnet a two goal lead.

In all there have been 24 competitive matches between the two clubs with Barnet winning 10 the U’s winning 7 and 7 draws.

The last meeting was 28th March at The Hive which Barnet won 1-0 with a goal from Danny Collinge.

Joined Barnet in 2025 from Bradford City. Also played for Peterborough, Swindon and Huddersfield.

4 Danny Collinge Born 9/04/1998 Haywards Heath.
Started at Milton Keynes. Has played at Stuttgart, Colchester and Dover Athletic. England U/18.

5 Adam Senior Born 20/01/2002 Bolton.
Started at Bolton. Moved to AFC Halifax in 2022 and Barnet in 2025.

6 Zac Williams Born 27/03/2004 Denbigh.
Joined Barnet from Crewe A in June 2026 after playing over 100 EFL matches for the Railwaymen. Welsh U/21 international.

7 Tom Knowles  Born 27/09/1998 Cambridge.
Product of Cambridge U academy. Joined Barnet in June 2026 from FGR. Previously played at Walsall, Yeovil T and various non league clubs.

8 Charlie Laklin Born 8/05/1999  Solihull.
Started at Birmingham C in 2017. Has played for Stevenage, Burton A, Doncaster R, Wimbledon and Sutton U. Joined Barnet from Walsall in summer 2026.

9 Jack Maskell Born 2005.
Joined Barnet in June 2026 from Darlington. 2026/27 will be his first season at EFL level after playing 5 seasons at non league level.

Joined Barnet from Swindon Town in 2025.Product of Bournemouth's academy. Nigerian U/20 international.

11 Idris Kanu  Born 5/12/1999 London.
Started at Aldershot Town in 2016. Joined Barnet from Peterborough United in 2022 after loan spells at Northampton, Port Vale and Boreham Wood. Sierra Leone international.

12Will WrightBorn 12/06/1997 Luton.
Joined Barnet from Swindon T in summer 2026. Previously played for Crawley T and Gillingham.

Joined Barnet on season long loan from Brentford in summer 2026. Product of the Chelsea academy. Joined Brentford in 2022. Spent loan spells at  Bristol R. and Crawley T. England U/21 international.

Joined Barnet from Walsall in summer 2026. Previously played at QPR, Grimsby T, Colchester U and Bolton W. Monstserrat international.

18 Kane Smith Born 7/02/1996 Luton.
Product of the Luton Town academy. Joined Barnet from Stevenage in 2025.

20 Kabonga Tshimanga Born 22/7/1997 Kinshasa DR Congo. 
Signed for Barnet in January 2026 from Crawley T. Product of Milton Keynes youth scheme. Has played for 17 different EFL and non league clubs including Boston U,Oxford C, Boreham W, Chestefield, Peterborough U and Swindon T.

Joined Barnet on season long loan from Lincoln C. Product of Derry City's academy. Spent 2025/26 on loan at Boston U. ROI U/19 international.

A youth at Brentford and Crystal Palace. Joined Barnet from Dagenham & Redbridge in 2024. Croatian youth international.

26 Myles Kenlock Born 26/11/1996 Lambeth.
Product of Ipswich T academy. Joined Barnet from Ebbsfleet U in 2024. Also played at Colchester U, Barrow and Aldershot T.

32 Isiah Noel-Williams  Born 2003.
Joined Barnet in June 2026 from Hemel Hemstead.
Previously played for Matlock T and Kettering T.
