When Alan started painting the woodwork behind the Main Stand this week it meant that the volunteers were starting to repaint some of the areas which were completed 2 years ago when the team started working at the ground.
Les in the meantime carried on with some remedial work on the accessible stand which was raised as being required by painting the metal frame work.

Review of activity in 2018/19 season for campaign in partnership with Kick it Out
Review of activity in 2018/19 season for campaign in partnership with Kick it OutThis week saw the launch of the Fans for Diversity report, which is available to download now. On the back of the busiest year of activity yet for the campaign, fans can get to grips with all the work we've undertaken in the past 12 months in one place. Through case studies and interviews, the 24 page pdf is an ideal way to familiarise yourself with the campaign, and take ideas of how you can make your club more inclusive to all, regardless of age, gender, disability or ethnicity. See the sidebar for contact details if you'd like to apply for funding for an event or initiative at your club.

The link can be found below and will provide a match day read while traveling to the match www.stevenagefc.com/news/digital-programmes/ Flags & Musical Instruments...Supporters are asked to contact Stevenage FC in advance of any fixture where they wish to bring a flag or banner of significant size for the approval of the Safety Management Team. The same applies to any musical instrument. This should be done with as much notice as possible via the email address info@stevenagefc.com. As a general rule, if the size of the crowd is expected to go over 1100 in the South Stand flags of any significant size can start to be an issue in respect of blocking sightlines, endorsements and advertising. If we are anticipating an away crowd attendance of below 1100 then Stevenage FC will seek to usually accommodate flags and banners and place them so as to not interfere with others enjoyment of the match. Flags and banners must be situated in accordance with stewards directions in the South Stand and not cause danger, annoyance or nuisance to any others. Drums and other musical instruments are permitted BUT they must be situated in Block C or D of the South Stand and are subject to the same caveats as flags and banners. All items are subject to search and final approval at the ground. No sharp edges or items that can be of potential use as weapons/ offensive, inflammatory or political slogans etc are tolerated. Arriving by rail...Stevenage railway station is on the East Coast main line and has regular services running between the capital and the north. Great Northern trains run between London Kings Cross (from 25 mins) and Peterborough (50 mins). Please note the shuttle departs from Stop N at the railway station. Turn left out of the ticket barriers and head towards the town. Take the first stairs on the left before the bridge over the dual carriageway and Stop N is at the bottom on the right. Please note the shuttle departs from Stop K at the bus station. This is outside Matalan, towards the vehicle entrance of the bus station. By taxi: A taxi will take five minutes and cost approximately £5. Turn left out of the ticket barriers and head towards the town. Take the first stairs on the left before the bridge over the dual carriageway and the taxi rank is on the left. By foot: The railway station is approximately one mile away from the ground. Turn left out of the ticket barriers towards the town. Take the stairs on the right before the bridge over the dual carriageway and head along the A602, Lytton Way with the railway on your right. At the roundabout which has the police station on the right, use the underpass to take the second exit into Six Hills Way towards Asda. At the next roundabout take the third exit (South) continuing along the A602 Monkswood Way, passing Asda on your right and North Herts College. After about 3/4 mile you will arrive at a roundabout and the ground will be opposite you on the other side of the A602. Arriving by Car - Please note Fans are prohibited from parking in the nearby retail parks due to parking restrictions, exceeding which could result in fines.
