NHS Blood and Transplant is running a campaign to encourage more people to register and book an appointment to give blood during and after this year’s largest football tournament.
Off the pitch, they need an entirely different type of hero. The nation needs people to support England not only through their love of sport, their passion and their patriotism, but in a way that makes a real difference to saving and improving lives.
NHS Blood and Transplant need nearly 700 new blood donors every day to continue providing life-saving services and 50,000 people during the tournament alone. Currently, twice as many women come forward to donate blood for the first time as men. We need to change this and NHS Blood and Transplant services need your support. We will be encouraging people across the nation to get behind their campaign by registering to donate blood at www.blood.co.uk.
Make a difference, save a life today.
