You are never alone - Meet David Burkett - Supporters Mental Health Liaison Officer

I am a 54 year old Postman and Cottenham born and bred. First watched the U’s during the Ron Atkinson era, I have played football at various levels and now coach both male and female youth football. I take an holistic approach to coaching priding myself on an empathetic approach to players and as a Lead Coach/ Mentor to fellow coaches. I like to think I have used my experiences through life, both good and bad, to learn from and be in a position to assist others and pass knowledge on, not just from a footballing perspective but from personal experience of life’s challenges. I am currently Mental Health Liaison Officer with CUSP and 

have been introduced to The EFL On Your Side Guide and have taken the 1st4Sport Mental Health Awareness Course. I am a season ticket holder in the Main Stand, Family Block G seat D4 and attend every home game where I am available to chat to fellow fans about any topics.
