As previously reported, United directors Godric Smith and Shaun Grady invited a handful of fans and media representatives to the club to discuss how it might improve fan engagement. Nigel Pearce and Robert Osbourn represented CFU members at the meeting on 16th October.
All in all it was a very positive get together. CFU passed on the suggestions submitted by CFU members. I won’t say any more about the specifics that were discussed (at the request of the club the meeting adopted Chatham House rules so that everyone could be as open and honest as possible), but just to say Godric and Shaun were very receptive and are committed to following up on the most suitable ideas. They will report the findings to the next board meeting and then go public on what the club intends to do – to improve fan engagement. It is likely that the group will meet again in a couple of months. Thanks again to all CFU members that took the time to submit their thoughts and suggestions. Robert Osbourn
