One area that we have wanted to improve since starting at the club several months ago was by the Cut Throat Lane entrance and the buildings there. This week Wendy gave everyone the target of having it completed by today.
Over the weeks the shrubs have grown larger and the rubbish has blown in behind the security fencing.
Yesterday, Paul Harrison, Mick and Ian took the fence down temporarily and did the necessary work to clear the area. I would have helped them but was unfortunately driving at the time or did they plan to complete the work while I was away!!!!
Joking apart their efforts certainly made a difference - see photos below and it is looking so much better now.
Time for a confession concerning my accident of the week. It was when carrying a full tin of paint I managed to drop the tin which exploded and the paint went everywhere. Fortunately it was water based so after about half an hour nobody would have known what had happened, but then Mick opened the door and proceeded to tell everyone about my error while having a laughing about it.
