Getting ready for the next match - The Apprentice Groundsman

It was a busy today and a big thank you to everyone who helped out getting the ground ready for the match against Notts County.

The clean up of the ground started before 7.30am this morning and followed on from work that was already completed during Saturday evening on pitch. The weather did not help with it raining all day and it was gone 4.30 his afternoon when I left leaving others still there.

It will be another early start tomorrow to put up barriers, taking the bins out and finish some areas not totally completed today.

There were also tables being repaired in the hospitality suites. Kits were being cleaned all day, this followed the washing machines having to be serviced following problems this morning.

The photo above shows a seat being repaired this afternoon in the South Stand. Both the seat and seat back was damaged. Fortunately there was a repair on the seat area made by using a silicone while the back was changed with one previously used in the Directors Box previously.
