During the past week the volunteer team have been busy around the ground getting the stadium ready for two match days, clearing up after the Exeter match and also completing various activities around the ground. This week we should see more of the sun and will be able to complete some painting see further down the page.
Last week Mick Radford concentrated on some internal area painting inside the kitchen. He also carried out some repairs in the Dublin and Premier Suites where there had been a water leak. He finished these today. Alan Burge last week started painting some areas inside tea bar 1 catering unit and will complete this when the weather is not so good again. He also finished off the railway sign started the previous week by painting the black background and the white lines see photo below.
Today, we got outside again. Alan and Brian continued last weeks re-painting of the Habbin Tea bars returning the colour back to white from grey see below photos in the slidshow below
Terry completed preparing the last remaining tea bar in the Habbin South which is now ready for painting and will be done tomorrow. New boy Les Weston got started today having recently retired and is already undercoating the wood which will be used for the capping around the pitch above the advert boards. Most of it was primed two weeks ago however with the damp and wet weather it was left last week. All the safety barriers will need painting by mid-end of May. If you can help by sparing a few hours complete the form below.
