LOCAL SUPPORTERS’ TRUSTS COME TOGETHER
The Supporters’ Trusts of Peterborough United and Cambridge United are working together ahead of the Chris Turner Memorial match, to be played at the ABAX Stadium on Saturday 1st August. Posh Supporters’ Trust Chairman John Henson said ‘There has always been healthy rivalry between Peterborough United and Cambridge United. We miss our local derby, it was always a good day whenever we met. We want to come together with our friends at the Cambridge United Trust to celebrate the life of Chris Turner, who played for and managed both clubs’. Details are being finalised but plans include joint charity bucket collections, and the production of a specially embroidered commemorative team shirt. Chairman of Cambridge Fans United David Matthew-Jones added ‘We approached our friends at the Peterborough United Trust to discuss how we could work together to commemorate Chris Turner, and to support the charity proposed by his family, the Glenfield Care Centre. We plan to work together to make it a day to remember, for all the right reasons.’ Contact CFU | Join CFU | News | Join play2win Lottery More details - Chris Turner match http://www.cambridgefansunited.org/blog/chris-turner-tribute-match (It costs just 20 pounds to join and your membership makes a difference)
