On Tuesday afternoon Ian had a meeting with Tom Cutting from Prior Associates who are the club engineers to discuss the work required on the Habbin Stand bridge at the rear of the Supporters Club.
Tom is arranging for drawings to be completed to enable work to be done during the pre-season in time for the concert and pre season friendlies.
The work is needed to ensure the bridge which has been in place since the Habbin Stand was built can still be used in future. The other bridge was repaired several years ago with monies donated by CFU. Grateful thanks also to Alan Willis for the donation of all the steel work for the bridge and to Dave Flack of Flack & Chapman who re-built the bridge at reduced labour costs.
During recent years the bridge has shown some signs of ageing with the concrete starting to crack and crumble in places.
We would like to thank Prior Associates for their help this year with the temporary repair that was carried out to the bridge and also for the support they have given CUFC for over twenty years.
