The following information was provided several years ago by the company that made the car emblem
The badge was made by G.K. Beaulah & Co Limited, Heritage House, 23 Park Street, HULL, East Yorkshire HU2 8RU. England. Manufacturers of Traditional English Hand Crafted and Hand Painted Products.
They told us the following -
I have scanned in our record cards which show the data came from a company called Buttress & Co in 1964 and updated in 1971
Regret I don't know who Buttress & Co were but could have been a gentlemen's outfitter
The car badge you have is a "one off" and somewhere is a shield with the full design on it as per the record card
Again in 1971 we only did a one off but the card doesn't show if it was a car badge or shield
Do you know anything more about the history of these? Do you know anything about Buttress & Co
