Young Person’s (14-17 Years) Organised Away Coach Travel Policy Statement
Cambridge Fans United are committed to safeguarding the welfare of all children and young people and expects all those involved with the club to endorse this commitment.
At Cambridge Fans United we are keen to engage fans of all ages to support the club in all activities, including matches played at home and away.
In order to support both of the above commitments, Cambridge Fans United have developed a policy which we hope can encourage young fans to support away matches but seeks to ensure their safety when travelling to away matches.
Many young people begin to gain growing independence in their teenage years; we want to support that independence. We have developed an away travel policy which seeks to address that whilst still trying to keep young people safe.
This policy relates only to supporter transport which is arranged and sanctioned by Cambridge Fans United. The trust cannot be held responsible for any independent travel firms or informal travel arrangements accessed by supporters or the parents or guardians young supporters.
Anyone under 16 MUST be accompanied by a guardian.
Young persons aged 16 and 17 will be able to travel unaccompanied but a Permission to Travel form must be completed and returned in advance.
Cambridge Fans United will review this Travel Policy on a regular basis and may update if required.
